Men seek to subvert others in their pursuits of happiness (values and choice) because they deem it necessary to define the "good life" for you. And it also usually means that their interests supercede yours.
Using moral platitudes to undermine another's right to life and liberty is the oldest game in the book. It plays on man's false sense of responsibility, and guilt. Adults are made to frame their own realities and choose for themselves what defines their life, as to purpose.
Don't let anyone else control your mind and life.

the good is bad a bit like money it a greed thing the more you make the more you want thats what the big boys work on thats what there life is about im a bit diffrent i dont belive in loads of money i belive inmyslef and having enuff to get by and that will do me no more and no less
Kevin, I wasn't talking about money, per se. I was talking about one's life goals, or purposes. How one makes money, if you will.
Money in and of itself has no value. The value comes from what people give to it. But, there are other values that one might prefer over money, too.
So, in my opinion, "the good life" is whatever you decide makes for the "good life". That is where your personal values lie, whether or not that means money, or not.
